Michael Harnish is a gifted contemporary painter who specializes in life-sized realistic portraiture. Through a combination of a traditional academic approach to portrait painting, Mike composes the sitter using careful drawing and under painting along with the introduction of the Impressionistic brushwork of Sargent. Mike has a Master of Fine Arts from the Laguna College of Art and Design and teaches art techniques on the university level. Mike has painted individual portraits for private families, liturgical institutions and corporate leaders.
